Come home to the parts of you

In Jungian psychology, a gate represents the threshold between what is known and what is waiting to be discovered in the unconscious. It is a symbol of transformation, where past identities, defenses, and stories can be released so that healing, wholeness, and peace can emerge. At Moongate Therapy & Wellness, we provide psychotherapy that honors every phase of your journey: the rage and the tenderness, the clarity and the confusion, the light and the shadow.

We understand that your responses to life are shaped by context, history, and survival — not by what’s “wrong” with you. Here, your experiences aren’t reduced to a diagnosis. They’re honored as part of your full story.

This is a holistic, trauma-specialized space that honors the mind, the body, and the psyche. Our work together is grounded in nervous system safety, depth psychology, and the belief that healing is not about fixing you—because you are not broken—it’s about returning to the parts of you that had to be exiled to survive.

Whether you’re navigating complex trauma, untangling from a toxic relationship, exploring your identity, or simply craving a space where you don’t have to perform—we’re here to support you.

Meet Sara Mancuso

REGISTERED PSYCHOTHERAPIST

Hi there, I’m Sara! I believe therapy is a space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin to make sense of the experiences that have shaped you to work towards your most fulfilling life.

I specialize in supporting individuals and couples navigating complex trauma, attachment wounds, and mind-body connection. I help people make sense of their inner chaos—especially the kind that doesn’t come with neat diagnostic labels or clear timelines. My clients are often those navigating the invisible toll of toxic shame, perfectionism, and people-pleasing, along with the burnout that comes from long-term survival mode due to holding it all together.

My therapeutic approach goes beyond symptom management. I work at the root—where the nervous system stores what the mind may not have words for. Therapy with me is compassionate, honest, grounded, and transformative. Whether you’re grieving the childhood you never had, recovering from relationship dynamics that left you doubting your reality, or trying to break free from patterns that no longer serve you—I hold space for the deep work.

AREAS OF SUPPORT

Moongate Therapy & Wellness provides evidence-based support for a range of concerns.

We prioritize the integration of evidence-based modalities to help clients achieve holistic wellness. Your concerns will be addressed through a variety of approaches, such as mindfulness-based therapies, somatic experiencing, psychodynamic therapy, and EMDR. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy, and our integrative approach reflects that.

Moongate Therapy & Wellness is a safe, inclusive, and accessible space for healing.

Trauma does not happen in isolation. It is shaped by the systems we move through — colonization, racism, classism, ableism, and other forms of injustice. We are committed to providing culturally responsive, identity-affirming care to individuals impacted by systemic oppression and discrimination — including, but not limited to, those marginalized on the basis of age, sex, gender identity/expression, neurodivergence, sexual orientation, race, culture, and place of origin.

Gender-Affirming and LGBTQIA2S+ Inclusive

Gender-Affirming and LGBTQIA2S+ Inclusive

We honor and celebrate all gender identities, expressions, and sexual orientations. This is a space where you’re never expected to explain yourself or justify who you are. We affirm trans, nonbinary, queer, and questioning identities, and offer a therapeutic environment where your identity is respected and supported.

Neurodivergent Inclusive

Neurodivergent Inclusive

The world wasn’t built for neurodivergent brains—and that’s the problem, not you. Whether you’re ADHD, autistic, gifted, highly sensitive, or living with sensory differences, this is a space where we embrace difference as diversity, not disorder. Your mind doesn’t need fixing. It needs understanding, patience and strategies that work with you, not against you.

IBPOC-Affirming and Anti-Oppressive

IBPOC-Affirming and Anti-Oppressive

We acknowledge the impact of colonization, systemic racism, and intergenerational trauma, and approach this work with cultural humility and a commitment to ongoing learning. While we don’t claim to be experts in cultures outside our own, we strive to offer care that honors your identity and lived experience in recognition of how deeply it shapes who you are.
